Native speaker of U.S. English with Ph.D. in German Literature from University of California, Berkeley. Over 25 years' freelance translation experience covering diverse subject areas. Many years' experience teaching German language, literature, and computers. Much experience translating, writing, and editing computer books for American and European publishers. Extremely computer literate (PC, Mac, and UNIX platforms; consult me for complete details). A quick study with new technologies. My past translations also cover many other fields, including general business and marketing, the humanities (with an emphasis on literature), social sciences, technical and instruction manuals, and homeopathic medicine. Another specialty is reading old German texts and handwriting; in 1992, I attended a special course at the Herzog-August Bibliothek (Wolfenbuettel) for this very purpose.

Reichelt (satirical novel published by Franzius Verlag, 2019); "Côte d'Azur - Nice and surroundings: Spend a relaxing weekend on the Côte d'Azur" by Katrin von Côte d'Azur Umlimited (travel guide published in 2019); "When the War is Over" (young adult novel by Anja May, published by Amazon Kindle Select, 2018); "Rainer Maria Rilke, "A Scene from the Venetian Ghetto" in Stories of God.
