Bio

I was born and raised in Haiti, where Haitian Creole and French were part of my everyday life. After the devastating earthquake in 2010, I moved to the Dominican Republic to finalize my studies. I spent six years there, completing my education while immersing myself in Spanish. Those years shaped not only my language skills but also my ability to adapt to new environments and cultures.

Back in Haiti, I pursued training in Business Techniques and later joined MGA/MBI, where I worked as a merchandiser and logistics supervisor. In my role, I had to learn English in order to communicate effectively with my boss and some clients who spoke only English. This necessity sparked my passion for languages, and I soon found myself drawn to translation. With my work requiring communication in Spanish, English, and Haitian Creole, I realized how much I enjoyed bridging language gaps and helping others connect.

My strong language skills eventually led to a translator position at MGA, where I translated general, business, and commercial documents between English, Spanish and Haitian Creole. This experience deepened my love for translation and solidified my commitment to this field.

In 2023, I made the exciting decision to dedicate myself fully to freelance translation. Since then, I’ve taken courses and participated in seminars to sharpen my skills, including training in tools like MemoQ and SDL Trados Studio.

What drives me is the belief that words have the power to build bridges. My goal is to provide translations that are not only accurate but also reflect the nuances and meaning behind every word, ensuring my clients’ messages resonate across languages
