文化庁の22・23年のJLPP国際翻訳コンクールで本審査対象者に選出される。これまでにNHKのロンドン支局で18年間以上リサーチャー・プロデューサーとして勤務。その他、ドキュメンタリー、コーポレートビデオ、CMなどの制作や、 メディア関連とは別の様々な役割にも携わる。趣味は読書(英語・日本語)、炊事、ハイキング、など。
Most of my working life has been spent in various media roles, working on music- and corporate-videos, TV and radio commercials, and even as a runner on a karaoke video. I worked for 18 years as a producer-researcher for Japan's public broadcaster, NHK, covering topics including politics, terrorism, music and sport, working in 18 different countries during this time. I keep abreast of events in Japan by reading NHK's main stories every morning, and am a keen reader of Japanese- and English-language novels, as well as being interested in history and science. I've entered Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs' JLPP International Translation Competition twice, and been shortlisted on each occasion. In my spare time, apart from reading, I cook, brew, and hike. |
