Professional Freelance Translator

As a freelance translator, I bring over 15 years of experience in translating from English to Brazilian Portuguese.

I specialize in Translation, Software and Website localization, Transcreation, Transcription, Copywriting, Editing, Proofreading, and MT post-editing across various domains, including Marketing, Networking, Business, Economics, Education, Large Databases, Design, and Computer hardware and software. 

I also have expertise in technical documentation, digital marketing, and Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE).

My proficiency extends to CAT tools including MemoQ, Trados Studio, Deep-L, Wordfast, Mate Cat, and the latest version of SmartCat.

I hold a MSc in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.

For now a days I have been working as a rater on an LLM AI project for the last eleven months, starting in November 2023.

Professional Career

I began my professional career at IBM as a Systems Engineer, progressed to Systems Engineer Manager, and later became the TI Manager at an IBM Manufacturing Plant.

 As a former software programmer and systems engineer for IBM Brazil, I specialized in manufacturing computer applications, large database projects and design. I also worked as a computer architecture researcher and served as an instructor at the former IBM Latin American Systems Research Institute in Rio de Janeiro.
