COMUNICAT DE PRESĂ
FINALIZARE PROIECT
1. Reducerea consumului de energie cu 752.9 MWh/an
2. Reducerea emisiilor de CO2 /an cu 614.38 tone echivalent CO2/an
- crearea unui sistem nou, modern şi uniform pentru străzile vizate, care aduce reducerea de costuri: atât ale energiei cât şi ale întreținerii, diminuarea pierderilor şi dezechilibrelor de rețea;
- din punct de vedere luminotehnic au fost eliminate zonele cu umbră şi întuneric, în zonele vizate;
- controlul de la distanta al sistemului de iluminat şi posibilitatea de a modifica scenariile privind pornire/ oprirea şi dimmingul aparatelor de iluminat;

PROJECT COMPLETION
Primăria municipiului Cluj – Napoca, the promoter of the program, announces the completion of the project named: ”Intelligent Public Lighting System in Cluj – Napoca, in order to decrease the effects of greenhouse gases – (reference 2020/516017)”.
The program has received a grant of 647.500 Euro offered by Norway, helped by EEA (European Economic Area) and Norway Grants within the “Program for Energy in Romania” (“Program pentru Energie din Romania”), Call: Energy Efficiency.
The purpose of this project is to modernize the street lighting appliances situated on 16 roads of Cluj – Napoca (Calea Turzii, B-dul Muncii, Traian Vuia, Mehedinți, Ioan Meșter, Romulus Vuia, Oașului, Căii Ferate, Fabricii de Zahăr, București, General Eremia Grigorescu, Alexandru Vlahuța, Gruia, Alexandru Vaida Voevod, Teodor Mihaly, Unirii), by using lighting equipment based on LED technology and lighting controls.
Result indicators:
1. Reduction of energy consumption by 752.9 MWh/ year
2. Reduction of CO2 / year emissions 614.38 tons CO2 equivalent / year
3. Decrease in electricity consumption by 61%
Indicators of accomplishment:
1. 1426 new lighting appliances powered by LED technology
2. lighting controls for regulating from a distance the installed lighting appliances and for dimming programs
The modernization and efficiency of the public lighting system was achieved by the replacement of existing appliances with LED based luminaires, as well as the installation of a smart management system by lighting control.
By making this investment, the following goals were achieved:
- the creation of a new, modern and uniform system for the targeted streets, bringing reduced costs: both energy and maintenance, reducing network losses and imbalances;
- from a luminotechnical point of view, areas with shade and darkness have been eliminated in the targeted streets;
- the remote control of the lighting system and the possibility to modify the scenarios regarding the start / stop and the dimming of the lighting appliances;
- real-time information on the occurrence of system failures, energy losses or malfunction of one of the elements;
