Since I was at the faculty, I started my career as a translator. During my study at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, I gained experience from the successive internships that I enrolled. For instance, I was a trainee at Future Group for Translation Services and Wikipedia. In Future Group, I learned how to use CAT tools, such as Trados and Xbench, and how to deal with different texts (legal, medical, Technical, Software, etc.). Moreover, my graduation research was on Translation. It was about translating some pages from Radwa Ashour’s autobiography “Athqual Min Radwa" and applying the strategies of Mona Baker’s theory in her book “Translation and Conflict" on my translation. Furthermore, as of my third year at the Faculty, I worked for Outsource Company as a Freelance Translator.
After graduation, I worked for Atlas Legal Translation as Legal Translator and I dealt with many legal documents, such as contracts, memos and notices. At the same time, I was a volunteer (Translator and Reviewer) at Environeur (Khalsny Initiative). Then I joined Al Boraq Translation Services and I dealt with many translation fields; such as legal, medical and technical translation. After that, I worked for AGATO, Al Boraq Translation Services, Mahd AL Ma'refa Translation and Transhome as a legal translator. Currently, I work for POD Egypt as Media Monitoring Team Leader and Translator. Besides, I'm an English<>Arabic Freelance Translator.
I am a quick learner, very motivated and I was my team's leader at the Faculty throughout the four years. Additionally, during my internships and work, I have proven my skills as a translator; i.e. time management, commitment, working independently and within a team and working under pressure.
