My passport says I'm British, but like all true linguists, my identity is not defined by my nationality. I have spent the best years of my life in Spanish-speaking countries, from Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador to the last four years in Seville, Spain. I am an experienced interpreter with the language pairs of English and Spanish, and English and French, and I have a Master's degree in Traducción e Interculturalidad from the University of Seville (2023). I am committed to accuracy in translation, thoroughness and believe that failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
Outside of translation, I also work as an English as a Foreign Language teacher, which has given me an acute comprehension of the dynamics of language, as well an eye for detail and proofreading.
I am especially interested in migration and health, both fields which have personal significance for me, and also literature (my Master's thesis was on the various forms of translating the Anglo-Jamaican poet Linton Kwesi Johnson).
