I am a mature professional with 20+ years of professional experience in different domains, but always with the common denominator of dealing with people and IT. I have a natural curiosity for languages and cultures. Some time ago I set up my own company and now work full-time as an English-Danish translator.
My many years of working for large local and international companies have taught me a lot about working with people from all around the world, and opened my mind towards other cultures and ways of getting things done.
Before starting my translation business, I worked as a Project Manager for a Romanian digital marketing agency, handling the development part of marketing campaigns. Prior to that, I worked for Hewlett-Packard at their large back-office hub in Bucharest, Romania. I was the link between marketing departments worldwide and my development team. I coordinated the people, as well as the development. I moved on to become the Lead for a team of Project Managers, and have built up good knowledge of how to plan and execute projects for online websites, both through offline and online training and through experience.
My translation portfolio is quite broad. I have translated many things from materials for airport eGate systems to sports shoe marketing texts. I also do a lot of subtitling work. The subject matters are mostly general content, such as TV series and dramas. My end clients are brands such as: Netflix, IYUNO, Nike, Trimble, Expedia, McDonald's, Brother, Vision-Box, Okta and others.
