I arrived in Australia in Feb 2003 with a Year 12 education from Kenya. I started working pro bono straight away helping literally challenged refugees with seeking rental places, reading letters, ATM assistance, etc.
In Feb 2006, someone said I should be paid for all the appointments I was attending to help people. So I started freelancing interpreting and translating. Even after I completed Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning with Honours as well as a Bachelor of Laws, freelancing interpreting and translating is still my preferred work as it makes use of my native language, Dinka.
I am grateful to ProZ for this opportunity. |
