I’m not an out-of-the-box thinker. If anything, I’ve removed the box entirely. I’m João, an experienced Virtual Assistant with a detailed history of driving solutions across the public and private sectors in an international context. I’m well versed in international analysis as well as negotiation, strategic planning, translation, and research.
I speak and write several languages well, including English, Portuguese, and Spanish; and I have previous academic experience in International Relations and Business, including a Bachelor’s degree from Centro Univesitário La Salle and numeorus continuing education credits and certifications. I also have experiene in translating books which are on sale at major online stores such as Amazon and Apple.
My colleagues would say I possess numerous interpersonal skills, including leadership, teamwork, communication, and analytical skills. In reality, I simply enjoy working with leaders and agencies around the world and investigating, communicating, and delivering solutions to both large and niche problems.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the distinction of serving in several capacities, such as ESL Teacher and Event Coordinator for a major ESL chain in Brazil, Chief Assistant Foreign Affairs at the State of Rio de Janeiro Department of Regional Development, Supplies, and Fisheries, Foreign Affairs Chief Assistant for Federal Congressman Brizola Neto’s Office, and more.
At my core is a passion to continue learning and serving others, while continuously adding new hard skills to prepare me for the days ahead. When I’m not busy working I enjoy traveling, reading, and researching new best practices and technologies. I’m also always looking to expand my personal network, so thanks for getting to know me better. Let’s connect.
