Bio
Hello,
I'm İlayda. I'm Turkish and I currently live in Turkey. I have always been obsessed with learning languages since my childhood. I started learning English at a very young age and continued learning with German during my high school years. Today, I'm a C2 level in English and B2 in German. I have graduated from Ege University in İzmir, Turkey and I majored in Translation and Interpreting of English and Turkish languages. I was pretty interested in my major because this was the only thing I wanted to do in life and I graduated with a 3,57 gpa by 2020. I also volunteered in many social projects such as Animal Welfare, TEMA (Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion), LOSEV (The Foundation for Children with Lukemia). I have also taken Greek for the last 2 years of my university years.
I'm able to translate and interpret fluently from Turkish to English or from English to Turkish. I'm especially good at law and medicine materials. I daily follow world news, economics and developments. I can use CAT tools effectively. I'm very good at linguistic contexts and semantics of foreign languages that I've taken as well as my native language. The reason I signep up for ProZ is because I wanted to work with a larger client profile than I used to and I wanted to get in contact with clients from all around the world. I want to add new companies and people to my portfolio considering I dream of pursuing my master's degree in abroad, particularly in countries where English is natively spoken.
