PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Since 2011: Specialisation in postediting.

Since 1999: Freelance translator working with agencies & direct clients.

1999: Co-ordinator/translator at Sykes Europe Ltd in the field of
localisation. Duties involved project planning and coordination with
translators, as well as translation, review, terminology work, layout
checks and testing for a range of software and documentation (user
guides and online help).

1998: Translator for Frigoscandia (Argenteuil, France) in the field of food
processing machinery. Translation of commercial brochures and
technical literature about industrial refrigeration, chilling and freezing
equipment, coating, cooking and frying equipment, forming
equipment, cutting and portioning equipment with waterjet
technology, potato processing equipment.


EDUCATION 1995-97: M.S.T (French MSc) in technical and scientific translation: French-
English-German, at the University of Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse,
France. Last year spent as an exchange student in the ETI (School of
Interpretation and Translation) in Geneva, Switzerland. General,
legal, economic translation and terminology.

1994: DU (one-year university diploma) in technical translation.

1991-93: BTS Génie Optique (equivalent to H.N.D) in optics and electronics.
