Urbanization represents both a key challenge and opportunity the Nordic region faces in its transition to a
green economy. This project on green transition and competitiveness in Nordic urban regions aims to help to
make Nordic towns part of the solution to environmental and climate challenges. The project is designed to
identify indicators and methods for attractiveness and determine how the quality of small and medium-sized
towns affect the environment, public health, and the creation of attractive jobs.

Þéttbýlismyndun er hvort tveggja lykiláskorun og lykiltækifæri Norðurlandanna í umbreytingu sinni í grænt
hagkerfi. Markmið þessa verkefnis um græna umbreytingu og samkeppnishæfni í norrænum þéttbýlissvæðum
er að aðstoða við að gera norræna bæi að hluta af lausn umhverfis- og loftslagsáskorana sem framundan

Miðstöð hönnunar og arkitektúrs, Orkustofnun og Umhverfisstofnun opna sameiginlega upplýsingasíðu NatNorth.is um fjölbreytileg verkefni sem hafa það að markmiði að auka þekkingu, gæði og sjálfbærni í ferðaþjónustu í hánorðri.
Á síðunni er fjallað um verkefnið sem snýr að því auka þekkingu, efla gæði og við að ná yfirsýn yfir þær áskoranir og tækifæri sem Norðurlönd standa frammi fyrir gagnvart sjálfbærri ferðamennsku í hánorðri. Áherslunar eru þrjár; Hönnun í náttúru, Hrein orka og Umhverfisvernd. Sjálfbær ferðamennska í norðri er hluti af Gagnvegum góðum, formennskuverkefni Íslands í Norrænu ráðherranefndinni 2019.
Translation - English Sustainable tourism in the north
Iceland Design and Architecture, the National Energy Authority of Iceland, and the Environmental Agency of Iceland are releasing a common information website, NatNorth.is, on a variety of projects intending to share knowledge, increase quality, and enhance sustainability in the Nordic north.
The website is an introduction to a collaborative project which overall intends to increase knowledge and quality in tourism in the Nordic north and provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities involved with sustainable development of the sector in this area. The focus areas are reflected in three themes: Design in nature; Clean energy; and Nature conservation. Sustainable tourism in the north is a part of A common path, the Icelandic presidency project of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2019.

Det kommer att finnas många saker som är svåra, går
fel och som gör oss ledsna eller stressade. Det är helt
OK och normalt. Ju bättre vi kan klara av dessa svårigheter
desto lättare blir det att ta sig igenom dem. Att ha
ett utvecklande tankesätt är ett sätt att hjälpa oss

Forskare har visat att våra hjärnor har en fantastisk
förmåga att lära sig och anpassa sig. En forskare som
heter Carol Dweck kom på termerna ’ett utvecklande
tankesätt’ och ‘låst tankesätt’ och insåg att de som
har ett utvecklande tankesätt visar sig ha bättre
självkänsla, större motståndskraft och är bättre på
att möta utmaningar.
De som har ett utvecklande tankesätt tror
att de kan lära sig nya saker och bli bättre
om de försöker, medan de som har ett låst
tankesätt tror att de är födda med en viss
mängd intelligens.
I dagboken finns det många anvisningar och uppmaningar
för att hjälpa dig främja ett utvecklande tankesätt, så
att du kan möta problem och se dem som utmaningar
du kan hantera.

Det finns ett starkt samband mellan utsatthet för sexuella övergrepp i barndomen och svårigheter senare i livet. Det kan vara i olika former av långvarig fysisk eller psykisk ohälsa. Det kan även ha konsekvenser för den psykiska och sexuella utvecklingen på så vis att barnet utövar våld som vuxen eller försätter sig själv i riskfyllda situationer där sex är inblandat. Därför räddar det liv när barn kan berätta om sin utsatthet och få stöd.
