I worked in the Emergency Room of the Rhode Island Hospital as a consecutive interpreter (English<>Spanish and Portuguese) to family members of admitted patients, and physicians.
I was also a board member of C.O.R.N.S. Inc. (Conservation Organization for the Restoration of Native Seeds), a non-profit organization aiming at supporting small farm businesses and identifying corridors within the United States in need to preserve heritage plants, in particular the traditional native corn seeds from various Indigenous nations.
