Source text - English The Flexi Job Fair is initiated to reach out to residents who are looking for jobs with flexible working arrangement and/or part time jobs, as well as encourage economically inactive groups, especially women and elderly workers to return to the workforce so as to help them gain financial independence. As there is a current growing trend of economically inactive people returning to the workforce, possibly due to the national efforts to encourage workfare and the increase in retirement age, and that most of them preferred jobs with flexible working arrangement or part-time work due to family commitment or health conditions, today’s focused theme on flexi work will increase the probability of the job seekers finding a suitable job as employers at the job fairs are selected specifically for such flexible working arrangement.
In addition, due to the rising living costs, the job fair also caters for those who are vulnerable employed to look for additional part time jobs to supplement their family income.
