I am a native Chinese speaker and highly proficient English speaker. As a resident in both China and the UK and university language instructor, I use both languages in daily communication and professional contexts. I received a BA in English, a MA in Applied Linguistics and and a doctorate in Communication Studies. As a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Linguists and Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, I am a highly qualified language professional in teaching, translating, interpreting, transcribing, and editing in and between English and Chinese(simple&traditional) languages.

I have more than 13 years of part-time experience in translation and interpretation in mainland China, Macao, Australia and the UK. Qualified by NATTI in 2007, I have been involved in interpretation, translation and transcription projects in both academic and commercial contexts from general communication to specific fields such as business, legal, IT, healthcare, medicine, history and social sciences, etc.
