I have over two decades of experience in various settings. Including, but not limited to government/politics, tech, legal, medical, mental health, education, and performance interpreting. I have teaching experience, including first year American Sign Language, and workshops on interpreting skills. While primarily an American Sign Language <--> English interpreter, I also have experience working between English <--> International Sign in international contexts, and am located in London, England. I have a Master of Arts in Sign Language Interpreting from the EUMASLI (European MA Sign Language Interpreting) program (www.eumasli.eu), and a Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Studies from California State University, Northridge, with a concentration in Communication Sciences and Services. I maintain national certification in the United States, having both the Certificates of Transliteration (CT) and Interpretation (CI) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). Each interpreting situation is unique and requires attention to detail, I maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all situations, and aim to ensure that all parties involved are confident, comfortable and satisfied with the services provided. |
