Bio
I provide high-quality translations to Irish (Gaelic) from English, focused on delivering a text which is readable by native speakers while communicating the source message.
A highly-professional service is provided at all times; deadlines,
accuracy, authenticity and readability of the text are all key priorities.
January 2020: completed graduate studies (PGDip) in Translation
(English-Irish) with Distinction. This was augmented by further graduate studies and research in the Irish language from earliest sources to 1200 (Early Irish), which is particularly helpful in terms of syntax. I am in daily contact with native speakers and regularly teach adult learners at all exam stages of the Common European Framework for languages (A1 to C1). I constantly strive to maintain a balance between the message of the source text and consideration of the target audience.
