I've translated for mostly non-profit organizations: an elite private school in Memphis, the International Rescue Committee for refugees in Salt Lake City, and for an international church renowned for its diversity and highly skilled language/translation skill-sets. I taught beginner to advanced English grammar, culture, and conversational classes for almost a year and a half in Tokyo, Japan. I've spent considerable time immersed in both French and Japanese language and culture including studying and performing music, cooking, and literature. I've taken intermediate and advanced language classes in French and Japanese at university and am eager to continue studying and working in translation.
