Bio

I am a native speaker of Turkish, from Istanbul,Turkey currently writing for newspapers and online magazines in various languages (Spanish, Italian, Turkish, English), translating (from all former languages plus Catalan, to mostly Turkish and Spanish but also in other combinations). I work as an editor for an online Turkish magazine called Avlaremoz. I also write in Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) for two Turkey-based newspapers.

I've learned Italian at the Italian High School of Istanbul (Liceo Italiano I.M.I.), and learned Spanish and Catalan by living and studying (secondary education and university) in Barcelona, Spain for six years. I also lived and worked/studied as a biology researcher in Cardiff, U.K. and California, U.S.A. (where I pursued my M.S. in Biology-paleobotany). I then took a break from the academia and started to write and translate.
