Although my professional experience is not long, I am currently an in-house translator/interpreter at an automotive company. I am in charge of both technical translation and interpretation, facilitating communications between my company's American branch and the Japanese headquarters, and general interpretation, and I accompany Japanese associates to doctors' appointments and assist in general interactions in their life in America by interpreting and doing some miscellaneous document translation. I am also familiar with educational terms in Japanese through my experience as a teacher in Japan for 4 years. Although I was an assistant teacher, I often needed to lead class on my own, which required use of my Japanese skills. |
