In 2018, I discovered the world of freelancing, which made my mind spin with all the opportunities that are available when you're working on a laptop and can, essentially, work from anywhere.
I kept doing freelance translations and subtitling, while also working full time at my corporate job and did that for 5 years, until I finally delivered my notice, and from July 1st 2023 have been working fulltime as a freelancer.
My favorite is to work with audiovisual translation and proofreading, but I would love to try my hand at editing and proofreading books in the near future.
I have previously translated the Donna Summer documentary on HBO, as well as QC on a big chunk of movie trailers from Amazon Prime. I am also working with Phony Content LLC on a regular basis to translate their Snapchat-stories from English to Norwegian, which is work I really enjoy. For the most part I work with English-Norwegian bokmål, but I have also subtitled a 2 hour seminar from Danish to Norwegian bokmål without a template, with great results.
