Gabriela Šmaiclová

Born in Czech republic in 1984

Portuguese and English freelance Translator

Finished Master degree of Philology of Portuguese at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2011.

Lived and studied one year in Portugal (Universidade de Lisboa) and one year in Brazil (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina).

Large experience from the work at Portuguese Embassy in Prague - PA to the Ambassador (translations, organization of events, security and loyalty, etc).

One of the main organizers of the Brazilian movie festival Kino Brasil in Prague, since its foundation in 2014. Programme director, subtitles, shipping, PR, additional events, production (www.kinobrasil.cz).

Studied Art Therapy in Brno, Czech Republic.

Many translated documents and subtitles for international companies and private clients.

In April 2018 won the first prize of the Prémio Hieronymitae Praguenses, a competition for young translators from the literature written in Portuguese organized by the Portuguese Institute and the Charles University in Prague.
