Having lived in Latin America in the past, and having now been in Spain for over five years, have enabled me to master the Spanish language linguistically and culturally, in both academic and everyday environments. Preparing for the CIoL Dip Trans exam provided me with the practice and confidence to become a freelance translator. I am currently specialising in the audiovisual field. The recent courses I have taken in this area have taught me to condense language though not meaning, as well as work with time codes and character/line limits.
