José Luis is a Legal Translation Specialist as well as a Lawyer. He has been involved in this

activity professionally since 2011. He has a broad legal background acquired in the law firm

Clifford Chance, where he developed his professional career for 17 years. He has been a

member of the Madrid Bar - ICAM since 1992.

Translates complex and highly specialized documents of an eminently contractual nature. In

recent years he has been particularly involved in the translation of documents used in debt

restructuring and sovereign financing transactions subject to both English law and New York

State law.

He also has experience in the area of conflict resolution, having translated documents of civil

court proceedings in the United States, Bahamas and South Africa. Other areas of his

specialization are the renewable energies, the intellectual and industrial property and, in general,

the mercantile and real estate operations.

He collaborates with law firms such as Clifford Chance, Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira,

Andersen Tax and Legal and DeCarlos Remón; with companies in the Real Estate sector as

Merlin Properties, as well as with other legal translation professionals and sworn translators.
