English to Portuguese: Mollusca General field: Science Detailed field: Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-)
Source text - English Molluscs have been and still are an important food source for anatomically modern humans. There is a risk of food poisoning from toxins which can accumulate in certain molluscs under specific conditions, however, and because of this, many countries have regulations to reduce this risk. Molluscs have, for centuries, also been the source of important luxury goods, notably pearls, mother of pearl, Tyrian purple dye, and sea silk. Their shells have also been used as money in some preindustrial societies.

Bio
I began working as a freelancer translator + interpreter in 2017. I am currently working with a number of freelancers agencies including ProZ, UpWork, Freelancers, Translatorscafe as well as working with private clients. During this time, I spent many hours studying language and specifically translation which helped contribute to my well-rounded education as I could learn new skills and experience different translating styles.
