Bio
26 years of experience in translating

Writing is probably the one thing you cannot put aside when it comes to official business communication. Whether we are talking about a single plain document or a huge campaign, attractive writing is what you really need. Globalization has already taken the world by surprise and translating your message to different languages is a must.

I provide active, creative translations tailored to attract targeted audience and I can convey your messages in a manner that will be widely accepted and adopted.

I am good at writing and I can corroborate this statement with two published books for two major publishers from Serbia ( Zavod za udzbenike and Laguna publishing house).

Work experience:

I have worked as translator and interpreter for Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Bosnia from 1996 to 1998.
I have worked for OSCE in Bosnia on electoral process, starting from census, throughout voters registration, to the meetings with political party candidates, then actual elections and all the way to the final counting of ballot papers. Being involved in this process on two separate occasions, for local and general elections improved not only my language skills and enriched my vocabulary but it gave me an unique insight into the world of politics and politicians.

Two years of experience as translator and interpreter for UN (United Nations) in Bosnia.
I have been working for UN IPTF (International police task force) and not only did I get to meet people from around the world (it is UN after all), working closely with police officers I also learned a lot about police procedures, their techniques and widely used words and phrases in policing. This job was on occasions dangerous and on other occasions quite amusing.

I have worked as translator and interpreter for US Army in Bosnia.
I was employed as translator for one of the US Army elite groups: 10 th special forces group (Airborne). Translating military and defense techniques, collaborating with local community on every level, working closely with police, military, municipal and governmental authorities, as well as translating everyday news was major part of my tasks.

I changed my working environment and spent two years as translator and interpreter for chemical factory Holding Viskoza, Loznica, Serbia. Once upon a time, this was a huge factory with large and various products, from viscose staple fibers to pulp and paper, from sulphur pulp to cellophane, cords and yarns for textiles and tires, etc... Thanks to my employment for this factory I had traveled to France as translator and visited numerous factories there: Mosley Badin a Barentin, Viesly industrie textiles, Group Saint Lievin, Filatures Madelaine, Filature de Demangevelle, Filature HGP... Experience gained through work for VISKOZA Loznica was immense.

I also worked for Factory for vehicles and tractors brakes from Loznica, Serbia. During my employment there I learned a lot about agriculture and equipment used in this particular area of work. Thanks to this impressionable experience, I am still a proud owner of a small vegetable garden. I work with SDL Trados 2011, Across, MemoQ, Wordfast Anywhere and other net platforms.
