My name is Maria, and I’m a professional English-Russian/Ukrainian native-speaking translator specializing in marketing, economics and law.

My exciting journey into the translation industry began in 2006. That year, I became a student at V. N. Karazin National University and started to learn all of the aspects of translation. I found my studies very interesting, so I decided to continue on and obtain a Master's degree.

In 2010 I started to search for jobs and took my first translation project. In 2012, I began working as an in-house translator/proofreader at a translation company. This amazing experience helped me to define my fields of specialization, learn about working with Trados Studio, and find out more about translation company workflow. My duties included translating/subtitling a variety of content, mentoring and training new staff, supervising big projects, dealing with customer complaints, and checking the test translations of job applicants.

This journey has grown only more interesting as I continue my professional development. I attend various courses, webinars and conferences to acquire new skills and knowledge that help me to provide better service to my clients.
