ENGLISH TUTORING AND LIVE EVENTS INTERPRETATION
6. I teach English and Russian via Zoom for $40 per hour (60 minutes). The trial session costs $20, and this amount will be deducted from your next payment if the student decides to proceed with the classes. If you choose not to continue, the $20 fee for the trials session is non-refundable. I can record our sessions and send it to the student for review as homework. LIVE OFFLINE CONFERENCES
7. My rate for live conference interpreting is $600 for up to six hours per day.
8. The minimum payment is for two days of interpreting, even if the event lasts only one day or half a day.
9. If I work more than six hours on a particular day, each additional hour is billed at $150, rounded up to the next hour. For example, if the conference starts at 9:00 a.m. and finishes at 4:35 p.m., the total would be $900: $600 for the first six hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), plus $150 for the seventh hour (3:00 to 4:00 p.m.), plus $150 for the remaining half hour (4:00 to 4:35 p.m.).
10. Interpreting at entertainment events, dinners, receptions, and nightclubs after the conference is compensated at $150 per hour.
11. On weekends and holidays without scheduled work, compensation is $250 per day, plus three meals or a $75 daily food allowance.
12. In the event of a government-mandated hotel quarantine, compensation is $250 per day, plus free meals or a $75 daily food allowance.
13. On conference days, travel time and expenses to and from the hotel are reimbursed at $25 per hour.
TRAVEL AND EXPENSES
14. The hiring entity covers round-trip travel expenses. Travel time from my home to the hotel will be reimbursed at $25 per hour. Preferably no more than one connection and no more than four-five hours of layover time at any connecting airport. If there are more than five hours between flights, a hotel room at the airport should be booked for rest between flights. Terms are negotiable.
15. The hiring entity covers the cost of air travel and, if necessary, train travel to reach the destination. Terms are negotiable.
16. If the venue is in a remote location such as resorts, the hiring entity covers taxi or rideshare transportation costs.
17. Unless there is an emergency, I request to arrive one night prior to the conference to ensure at least eight hours of sleep, plus time for travel from the airport and to the conference venue before it begins.
18. The return ticket should have an adjustable date in case I decide to stay in the country for a week or two after the conference. Health insurance should preferably be purchased from a local insurance company in the country where the conference is held. Luggage allowance should be at least 15 kilograms plus a carry-on bag.
MEALS AND BREAKS
19. On conference days, either two meals must be provided or $25 will be added per meal. If the event lasts longer than six hours, please allocate a minimum 20-minute lunch break. Meal times are considered billable work time. If lunch breaks and/or food will not be provided, please inform me in advance so that I can bring coffee and sandwiches with me to the conference.
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
22. For live conferences that last longer than one hour, I work only in pairs with at least one other experienced interpreter. It is highly preferable to provide the other interpreter's phone number and/or email so that we can agree on terminology, speaker name pronunciation, and review the same training materials ourselves prior to the conference.
23. For trade show tours with groups, I may work alone during one-on-one negotiations.
PAYMENT TERMS
24. A minimum advance payment of $500 is required. Bank transfers are accepted in USD, GBP, HKD, or EUR. Cash payments in USD, GBP, or EUR are also accepted at the conference.
25. Payments in Russian rubles are accepted, but the exchange rate must be agreed upon in advance. Bitcoin is also accepted.
ACCOMMODATIONS
26. The hiring entity covers the cost of hotel or Airbnb accommodations. The nonsmoking room or apartment must be equipped with a microwave, air conditioning, and a shower.
PREPARATION MATERIALS
27. Please provide the following at least one week prior to the conference (or as soon as available): speaker names, LinkedIn profiles, company websites, product glossaries, and PDF presentations related to topics that will be discussed.

28. Correct pronunciation of names and familiarity with terminology are essential. Mispronouncing names can be considered a serious offense in some cultures, which is why I need to hear and learn the speakers' names at least a week prior to the conference. If recordings or materials from previous conferences with the same speakers or related topics are available, please provide those as well.
