English to Italian: GIMIAS User Manual v.1.2 Detailed field: Computers: Software
Source text - English Workflow manager: this function allows to manage workflows in GIMIAS. Each GIMIAS workflow is stored in a xml file and provides a way to organize the workflow steps and provide the end user with a simplified navigation from the initial step to the final step. Each workflow step (tab page) contains a set of processing steps. Each processing step can have a set of alternatives. In addition, for each workflow step specific windows (i.e. visualization options) can be set.
The workflow manager allows the following operations:
New: Create a new empty Workflow
Edit: Edit the currently selected workflow. You can also double click on the workflow to edit
Rename: Rename the currently selected workflow. This will also change the XML file name
Activate: Will change the active workflow. This button will automatically change the perspective to Workflow and restart Gimias
Delete: Deletes the workflow and the XML file from disk
Import: Import an already existing workflow
Save Layout: Save current GUI layout
The workflow editor (figure 3.9) allows to define the steps of a workflow and the content of each workflow step.
On the left side you have all possible components that are registered in GIMIAS and can be added to the workflow. On the right side you have the currently edited workflow.
How to edit a workflow:
In GIMIAS File Menu, make sure that the Plugin Perspective is selected and load all the plugins that you need to create the workflow
Open the Workflow Manger, select the workflow that you want to edit and press Edit to open the Workflow Editor.
Add a workflow step: right click on the Workflow name and select “Add a step”. You can edit the workflow step name pressing F2 key.
Add visualization and processing functionalities to a step of the workflow: Each component can be added to the workflow through drag and drop from the left side to the right side. By default all common widgets will be added automatically.
Translation - Italian Workflow manager (Gestore workflow): questa funzione consente di gestire i workflow in GIMIAS.
New (Nuovo): crea un workflow vuoto.
English to Italian: Cardiac modeling General field: Medical
Source text - English The Purkinje System (PS) is also an important part of the system that helps the fast and synchronous electrical propagation of the impulse coming from the sinus node. Since the reconstruction of the PS from specific patients is not feasible, a fiber network has been defined according to the descriptions by Durrer. The PS is represented as a 1D cable model that is placed upon the endocardial surface, containing the bundle branches and 100 Purkinje cables that expanded from the bundle terminals towards the ventricular apex continuing onto the left and right free walls. The procedure to include the PS consists in a manual delineation of the fibers in the heart atlas, and subsequently a propagation of the network to each mesh. The propagation is done during the segmentation of the ventricles, where the atlas is deformed to match the specific geometry of the patient heart, fitting at the same time the PS embedded in the atlas.

18 years of experience as a freelancer in technical translation, proofreading and writing Initially trained in the ICT sector, I started working at the University as a researcher in the artificial intelligence field, moving then to an international ICT group (initially within the research department and later in the R&D and customer support units).
Currently, I’m a freelancer.
A common thread links together all my composite professional experiences: my passion for writing.
The significant expertise I gained writing research papers and project deliverables, as well as technical and marketing documentation for software products are the basis on which – 18 years ago – I started my freelance activity as a translator, proofreader and technical writer in the ICT field, gradually expanding it to the tourism and medicine sectors.
