English to Croatian: The fragile recovery of California sea otters/ Krhki oporavak kalifornijskih morskih vidri General field: Other Detailed field: Livestock / Animal Husbandry
Source text - English These oceangoing cousins of river otters once flourished from Oregon to Baja California. Now they inhabit only a 250-mile stretch of California's central coast. To the north live their two close relatives, the Russian and Alaska sea otters. The three subspecies are separated mainly by nuances of skull shape. Also, the northern sea otters sometimes catch fish, while their California cousins eat only crabs, abalones, urchins and other invertebrates. All three races are about the size of basset hounds, with comical bushy mustaches.
Translation - Croatian Ovi su putujući rođaci riječnih vidri nekada cvjetali od Oregona do Baja Californie.

Experience
Years of experience: 19. Registered at ProZ.com: Jan 2015.
After finishing Language Grammar School in Croatia, I lived in London, U.K. for two years where I attended EFL course(English as a foreign language course) to improve my English. At the end of the course, I took an exam and I was awarded with Certificate in Advanced English(CAE).
During my studies in Croatia, I started working in tourism and I was regularly and successfully giving private English lessons at home to elementary and high school pupils. I got a degree in Culture and Tourism and, for the last ten years, I have been working as a tourist guide in Croatia, doing day trips and sightseeing tours in English, Italian and French. When necessary, I would do translations for colleagues and acquaintances mainly from English to Croatian, always respecting the deadlines.
In 2013, I got a Certificate of Proficiency in English(CPE), achieving level C1, what gives me more confidence when applying for a job.
