I'm a Master of Arts from the University of Helsinki Finnish language as my major and Japanese, translation studies and comparative literature as my minor. I've also studied Japanese in Doshisha University in Kyoto and spent a year in a Japanese high school.

I've passed the highest possible level (N1) in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. I'm also a licensed community interpreter (FIN-JPN). I have translated research documents, instructions, business policies, newspaper articles, interviews, poems and song lyrics, and interpreted in technical visits both in Japan and Finland (schools, health centers, museums, various public institutions, companies etc.). I'm very interested in politics and other society related things but also kimono, video games and comics.
