I'm a full-time freelance translator working from German and French into English, based in the UK. I've been translating professionally since 2011 and have worked with German for nearly 30 years, including a year living and working in Germany.

My core specialisms are legal, tax and commercial texts – contracts and commercial agreements, tax documents and correspondence, financial reports, corporate law documents, and terms and conditions – alongside marketing, engineering, automotive, energy and IT. Clients range from German and Swiss public authorities to international corporations, via agencies and direct.

I hold the CIOL Diploma in Translation (DipTrans, Level 7) and an MA in Modern & Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge, and I'm an RWS-certified post-editor. I work in Trados Studio, memoQ, Phrase, Across and XTM.

I deliver on time, adhere to client glossaries and style guides, keep terminology consistent, and write English (UK and US) that reads as though it wasn't translated.
