I am a native Italian translator and technical communicator based in
Italy (time zone UTC+1).
I specialize in the biomed/biotech, pharma and technology fields. Thanks to a science background, a specialized translation postgraduate degree and specific marketing
training I can correctly translate high level scientific and technical texts
AND I can add a spruce of creativity when needed, for example in marketing
texts. Feel free to contact me by email or on my LinkedIn page!
Here’s why and how I can help you communicate with the Italian market and general public:
Physics degree and
science communication background: I am passionate about science and
technology since… forever! My background allows me to translate also hard
science documents (an example: the statistics section of clinical
studies, or the more technical sections of laser/MRI/radiation devices).
Postgraduate degree in
specialized translation (biomedicine, environment and energy fields): that’s what made me a linguistics nerd! Communication is key and to be
effective it MUST be linguistically correct. What happens when you are
about to buy something and the description on the box feels ‘awkward’? You
put it down and buy another brand, that’s what happens. That’s the weight
of a grammar mistake, and the power of a well crafted text.
Web-marketing, e-mail
marketing and transcreation training: whatever you do or manufacture,
you need to sell it. Yes, even if you do research. Just think about
consent forms in clinical studies: they need to be readable,
understandable and respectful. This specific training allows me to help
you also in patient-facing and public-facing materials that need extra
attention to the reader (like awareness campaigns or patient guides) and
those that require a smudge of creativity and the right tone of voice to
let you stand out among competitors, (like articles, ads, social media
content, brochures or full websites).
Member of COM&TEC
& tekom Europe: I keep up to date with technical communication
standards so that my translations are always correct and compliant. Did
you know in Europe we have regulations and terminology standards for
medical devices, machinery, pharma documents, etc. that also consider
documentation and language?
Here are some examples of the documents I translate in the biomed, pharma and tech fields:
Patient/public-facing materials Patient leaflets (PIL), patient guides, informed consent forms (ICF), patient diaries, press releases, brochures, presentations, corporate websites, awareness campaigns, UX texts and software/app interfaces, etc.
Technical documentation and corporate materials IFUs and manuals, medical device software localization and manuals, training courses, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Field Safety Notices (FSN), recall notices, medication packaging, compliance declarations, sales force training materials, EPARs, Summary of Product Characteristics (SoPC)
Research and clinical research reports and documents Study protocols, ICFs, privacy information sheets, research papers, specialized magainze articles, case studies and case stories, health economics studies, clinical study posters, research recruiting materials and campaigns, etc.
Marketing and web-marketing texts Websites, e-commerce texts, product descriptions, brochures, customer letters, online ad campaigns, social media campaigns, e-mail marketing campaigns, flyers, press releases, newsletters, magazine articles, etc. Software localization User interfaces, UX texts, micro-copy, patient app and medical device software strings and screenshot validation
