I am fluent in both Hmong and English. I have the ability to interpret in all four different modes of interpretation which include: consecutive, simultaneous, sigh translation, and summarization. I have received training and completed coursework in medical interpretation from Reedley College, thus I am well aware of the roles of cultural and message clarifiers, message converters, patient advocates as well as the important of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity, accuracy and completeness.
Having worked in this field for over 20 years, my interpreting experience includes individual one-on-one or group interpretation, ranging from very large groups to small intimate conferences. I have also interpreted in various settings including doctor's offices, healthcare fairs, large conferences and meetings requiring the use of headsets, courts and depositions, jails and mental health institutions, family counseling or parenting classes during home visits or at education sites.
Personally, I am an honest and friendly individual who is able to work with people from all walks of life. Professionally, I am an employee who is able to meet datelines, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work in fast paced environments, and flexible in all working environments.
I would welcome the opportunity to tell you how my skills and experience can benefit your company. |
