The hot and humid weather of Thailand makes growing the algae quite easy. Different sized barrels are currently being tested to see which one can produce the highest yield. After harvesting the spirulina algae, it is rinsed and spun dry in a modified washing machine before being hand pressed into jars. The resulting product is a jelly-like substance without much taste but with a high concentration of proteins, vitamins, and minerals.

Il clima caldo e umido della Thailandia fa crescere l’alga abbastanza facilmente. Barili di diversa dimensione sono impiegati attualmente per vedere quale sia il più adatto a produrre spirulina con il più alto rendimento. Dopo averla raccolta, l’alga viene risciacquata e centrifugata in un’apposita macchina, prima di venir schiacciata con le mani e messa nei vasetti. Il risultato è un composto gelatinoso senza molto sapore, ma con un’alta concentrazione di proteine, vitamine, e minerali.
