Source text - English Flora and fauna For the ancestors the Colli Albani were a land of woods. From the Selva Ferentina to the perfect woods (nemus) around the Lake of Nemi, chestnut woods, oak woods and pine woods, followed one another on the volcano. Since man arrived this beauty slowly disappeared. Many angles of the Castelli, though, can still offer the visitors’ eyes the magic of the ancient woods. Typical of the Latium Volcano landscapes are the oak woods, made from downy oaks up to 600 meters height oaks (simply marvellous the centennial examples of the Tuscolo), and from cerris further on up. Alternating to the oaks we find the manna, the maple and the black hornbeam. Very fascinating also the holm oaks of the Artemisio and of the slopes above the Lake Albano and the Fosso Martinella of Nemi. Among the holm oaks planted by man stand out those of the Villa Chigi of Ariccia, of the Bosco Sacro of Marino and of the Ville Tuscolane of Frascati. Very beautiful the pine woods of the Tuscolo, of the Vallone Tempesta and of Mount Pardo of Ariccia. In the first two, besides the maritime pine and the domestic pine, we can also find the Aleppo pine. It was man, probably around the Seventeenth century, to plant around the Castelli the first oak trees, today so common in the area. Beeches are concentrated around the higher peaks: the toponyms including the words “Favo”, “Faete” and “Fajola” suggest that it used to be more widespread in the past. Besides holly, the ground cover is wide, ivy, butcher’s broom, sloe, mauve, raspberries, strawberries and hawthorn. On the sunnier slopes grow the broom, the heather, the wild sloe and the common broom, known with the dialect term of “scopiglia”. Among the flowers we find cyclamens, ranunculus, crocus, anemones, sweet williams and wild orchids. The red lily can be spotted on the meadows of the Tuscolo. Among the rare plants stands out the snowdrop bush (Styrax officinalis), growing in the sunnier places and from which it is extracted a resin very similar to incense.

Il faggio si concentra intorno alle vette più elevate: i toponimi che includono le parole “Favo”, “Faete” e “Fajola” suggeriscono che la sua diffusione fosse maggiore. Oltre all'agrifoglio, crescono nel sottobosco l'edera, il pungitopo, il prugnolo, la malva, i lamponi, le fragole e il biancospino. Source text - French L’ECE est une maladie virale de la famille des coronavirus, spécifique au furet, qui endommage la muqueuse intestinale et cause une inflammation.
Elle est apparue en 1993 aux États-unis et s’est peu à peu propagée au Canada puis en Europe, par le biais des animaleries qui ont importé des furets américains qui ont ensuite contaminé nos souches locales, notamment au travers des rassemblements furets.
Quand la muqueuse intestinale est endommagée, le furet est victime d’une malabsorption des liquides et nutriments. Ceci a comme conséquence une diarrhée, une production excessive de mucus, une déshydratation et parfois des vomissements. Dans des cas graves, une ulcération intestinale et un saignement ont lieu, l’estomac et l’œsophage peuvent également être atteints.
A cause de son premier symptôme caractéristique, l’ECE est parfois appelée « virus vert » ou «maladie de la diarrhée verte ».
