I am a freelance translator (French, German and Spanish to English) with an international finance background and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

I have an IoLet Diploma in Translation (with Merits in general / social sciences papers) in French to English; I also have a 1st class BA Hons degree in French, German and Spanish from Durham University. Having qualified as a chartered accountant 14 years ago, I have since worked as a financial controller, a senior audit manager and in corporate finance/ investment banking. My roles have been within a range of sectors, including financial services, media and publishing, with various European responsibilities.

I have used my languages throughout my career but made the decision at the end of 2012 to focus on translation as a profession, and have since been working on freelance projects. I believe that my combination of professional experience and language skills make me a unique asset to potential employers and agencies.
