Translation - English The glucose (C6H12O6) in blood interacts with Potassium Ferricyanide (K3Fe(CN)6) by redox reaction, with glucose oxidase (GOD) acting as the catalyst. As a result of the reaction, Gluconic Acid (C6H12O7) and Potassium Ferrocyanide (K4Fe(CN)6) are produced, and the further electrical chemical reaction of Potassium Ferrocyanide generates redox current. The intensity of redox current is proportional to the glucose concentration in blood sample. Therefore, blood glucose level can be derived from the intensity of redox current detected by blood glucose meter.
