My freelance work in 2017 includes translation and proofreading of thermal sensors, furnace, outboards, corporate HP, travel information, beauty products, contact lenses, etc; and transcreation for world-wide brands.

Tools and Qualifications
-English Technical Writer certified by the Japan Society for Technical Communication, JTF Certificate 2nd Grade (Science and Technology, J to E). Uses TRADOS2014, Just Right!5 Pro. Familiar with DTP applications (InDesign, InCopy, FrameMaker, Illustrator, Acrobat).  

Background
-Worked as an on-site translator for a FA equipment/system manufacturer and its subsidiary company for 7 years. Experience of translating user manuals, brochures, marketing documents, corporate homepage, software UI, e-learning courses, and promotional movies. Translated a book on Yoga called "The Yamas & Niyamas Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice" into Japanese. Studied in Japan, New Zealand, and the U.S.A, and have worked in U.K. and Japan. Currently lives in Hanoi, Vietnam, occasionally contributing articles on local spots to a Japanese magazine.
