Prior to becoming a translator, I have studied Biology at German and Australian universities up to achieving a PhD in Zoology (Physiology) at the University of Adelaide. Moving to London, I obtained the Diploma in Translation from the Institute of Linguists (IOL) before starting full time employment as a technical translator with a patent law firm in Scotland.
Due to my background in natural sciences, I particularly enjoy translating all things related to biology, chemistry and medicine, while I have also gained experience in many more different fields, including legal and general translations. Having lived in English speaking countries for 14 years, I feel equally familiar with both language directions. |
