English to Indonesian: Ghassan Kanafani in: “The Land of the Sad Orange” General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English Kanafani is a prominent literary figure in the Arabic Literature and worldwide.
His works were translated to many different languages.
During his short life he enriched the Arabic library by with valuable collection of publications, varying from novel to short story to literary researches and political essays.
“The Land of the Sad Orange” is one of his early stories that depicts the influence of the deportation on the Palestinians when the Israeli troops took over their country in 1948.
In this story Kanafani mixes the artistic reality with the historical one.
Though the story tells the suffering of a middle class family, it stands as an example of thousands of displaced families who had to suffer the humiliation of leaving their country and living in poverty, following the 1948 calamity that befell the Palestinians after the defeat of the Arab armies and the creation of the state of Israel.

Bio
My name is Misran (M.A.) and this year I’ve just been launching English to Indonesian business, localization, and tourism and hospitality translations to such a client like you. Whether your goal is gaining a new client, leading a translation project, or merely doing your job better, you would like to use my service to help you achieving your goal in a shorter time.
Wishing my job to be completely well-done, I am doing my translation from English onto Indonesian by exploiting such important things. Researching on localized words or inventing a new terminology gives me enough confidence I need to be professionally responsible.
Your high-profile customers may profit from my knowledge on Management and your project manager may take advantage from my ability in operation of Trados Studio 2011. I consider that my experience living in one of English speaking countries (UK) for half year would be useful to your company and that I would be a good asset to you.
If you are worried about my experience, so far I have registered as member of Indonesian Translators Association (since 2012) and if you are afraid of my technology skills, I have been using computer for over 10 years and completed a training course at my university. If you have a huge project, I can tell you that my daily capacity is around 2-3,000 words and can be increased if required. But if you are worried about my rate, it is only $0.08/0.09/0.1/source word.
