I am an experience project management in various sectors, especially those related to development cooperation, with experience as an informal translator for almost 20 years. My English and Bahasa Indonesia are fluent, in perfect grammar. I am Indonesian but grew up in the US, studied college English literature throughout high school with honors.

Translation is not only defining words in one language into another language, but it is a method of conveying a message of one culture into another so that the message can be readily and easily understood by the reader. Translation is not word per word language transfer, but it is defining what the speaker/source wants to convey within their purpose.

Translation documents I have done revolve around government documents and laws, office documents, project documents, emails, website articles, press releases, contracts.

My work is done by myself, without software at this time, and I can guarantee fluency in the translation results with the inclusion of editing. I recently left a full-time office employment to concentrate on my life interest as a freelance translator which brought me to ProZ.
