Hello! I'm frank. Well, really my name is Joseph, but I am always frank.
To be frank with you, I am a beginner in the trade of translations. However, I do offer two true advantages over more experienced translators:
1. I'm cheap. (Interpret that anyway you like, but I'm talking about money!)
- I charge low to get my foot in the door.
2. Since I am a beginner, I always have to be very, very meticulous about nuances and semantics extracted from the larger and the smaller context. Engaging the autopilot is not for me! I truly care about the nuances, the emotional experience and the colors of the language.
Other than that, I am a guy who have seen and done a lot.
At the age of 17, I said goodbye to my family and moved to Japan for a year.
Since then, I have been to "The land of the rising sun", or more accurately "The origin of The Sun", three more times. I traveled, I worked, I studied. Most of all, I studied the people and the language.
At an even earlier age, I had foreign language TV channels such as British SKY, German Deutche Welle, French TV5, and Italian Rai Uno. Now I have all these words floating around in my head, and suddenly, without warning, I understand. It gets me every time. I never studied French, so how did that just happen?!
Later on, I lived in Norway and learned that language too. It may not seem like much of a challenge to a Swede, but if you look around - how many Swedes know how to use Norwegian in a natural way?
Now, I live in Turkey and I study Chinese.
I have always loved how using someone else's language can instantly change the connection between two or more people in a fantastic way.
I want to hone my language skills, become an entrepreneur of languages. Translating, teaching, promoting and networking. I am eager, willing, precise and I care about quality.

Dear Sir/ Madame!
I am but a puppy, but a very clever, unusual puppy.
If I look at you with my blue puppy eyes, will you give me a chance?
Would you give me a task?
Would you take a chance on me?
Gonna do my very best and it ain't no lie.
If you put me to the test, if you let me try.*
With Regards, Joseph P. M. Eriksson.
* Yes, that was partially ABBA.
