I have gained exposure in various positions over the last ten years. Each of them have equipped with unique set of skills and knowledge that allow me to provide accurate translation at an affordable cost in several fields.

EDUCATION

Born and raised in Cameroon where I did high school in French, English and Spanish. I completed university studies in a bilingual and bijural (Common & Civil law) system, graduating with a bachelor of Laws (honours) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Common Law from the Universities of Buea and Dschang.

Completed a Master (Diplôme d’Études Approfondies –DEA) in International Economic and European Business Law) at the Universities of Geneva, Fribourg, Lausanne and Neuchatel in Switzerland.

Completed three courses as part of the Bridging Program for Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) at the University of York, Toronto; Completed the Internationally Trained Lawyer Program (ITLP) Certificate at the University of Toronto.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I have extensive work and learning experience in the legal practice, provincial, federal and international public service. I have interned, worked as a Policy Analyst and Program Administrator, developing and analyzing policies and administrating different types of projects and projects, as well as translating, proofreading and editing documents.

Freelance Experience

I was immersed in the translation work (English-French-Spanish) since my early years in high school, leveraging my ability in the three languages to complete academic assignments. However, I effectively integrated the industry in 1998 when one of my lecturers requested my services to translate a legal document from French into English. Since then, I have translated different types of documents, initially for my own research purposes and then as a source of income.

Recent completed projects include:

- Translation of 30 000 word website from English into Canadian French
- Translation of Canadian citizenship test preparation questionnaire from English into French
- Translation of Ontario driver’s test preparation questionnaire from English into French
- Translation of education materials for online training courses In Immigration and Export Control Laws
- Translation of different briefing notes, posters, flyers, journal articles, from English into French and vice versa
