My specializations include business, in particular telecommunications and legal translations, due to my experience and training as part of the Diploma for Public Service Interpreting (English- French, option law; diploma taken in June 2012).
Alongside my previous roles in the telecommunication industry I have been working as a translator, proofreader and language teacher since 1996, and benefit of a wide array of translation experiences such as marketing texts, annual reports, brochures, newsletters, web contents etc. More recently I have also been interpreting at training and cross-cultural meetings, again in particular in the telecommunication industry.
Devoting my career to the entirely to the translation and interpreting industry since this spring, I am benefiting of founded experience interpreting in the telecommunication industry and in medical environments, having lived and worked both in Switzerland and the UK. Not only am I a native speaker of German, French and English since I grew up in a multilingual environment in the German speaking part of Switzerland, in a French speaking home and have always attended trilingual schools, but I have also gained additional insights into the needs for professional language service providers throughout my career. I was able to experience the need for this first hand as over the years I worked on many international projects (e.g. for Service Management, VOIP, G3 network) and was often confronted with the day to day challenges and the importance of multilingual communication. |
