I am passionate about languages, travel, and the written word. I am a native English speaker of Chinese descent who is a US citizen. I have spoken English and Cantonese since birth, and Mandarin since I was 6 years old. I divide my time between Los Angeles, Shanghai, and New York.

I received my BA in psychology and JD (Juris Doctorate - law) degree, both from the US, with academic honors, and was awarded a full-tuition scholarship for 7 years.

When I was 12, I won a writing award for best English writer in my graduating elementary school class, and when I was 13, I scored in the 95th percentile in a nationwide IQ test administered by my school in the US.

With 10+ years experience translating/interpreting from Chinese to English and English to Chinese, I can handle a wide variety of content, including legal & financial documents, contracts, prospectuses, investment memorandums, websites, localization projects, IT training materials, marketing brochures, ad copy, research papers, employee handbooks, and product instruction manuals.

I am available as an executive interpreter to accompany company leaders on overseas buying, scouting, or joint venture/M&A missions. I can also assist with the investigation of companies and due diligence process in mainland China, and the recruitment of local talent for new offices.

I can quote flat fees for projects of fixed size and duration.
