Bio
This is Dr. Muhammad Amer, full chartered member of the UK Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) and English<>Arabic translator, conference interpreter, and lecturer in specialized translation and interpreting at national and international universities. I possess fifteen years of experience in translation and interpreting since 2010. I provide assorted language-related services including translation, reviewing, editing, proofreading, at sight, consecutive, and simultaneous interpreting. Furthermore, I have a PhD in English linguistics and translation. I specialize in legal, commercial, and literary translation among further fields. I am also a conference interpreter with an experience in various national, regional, and international conferences. My pride extends to be approved as an interpreter by international conference interpreting platforms such as Interprefy, KUDO, and Ablio Conferences. I am proud of having my name labeled as a translator on a wide array of books till now, and they are:

  • LoveStar - Andri Snaer Magnason (Iceland)
  • Jerusalem - Goncalo M. Tavares (Portugal)
  • Marketing Fundamentals - Serag Yasine (Egypt)
  • Lukundo - Horror Short Stories (World Literature)
  • I am Zlatan - Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden)
  • The Complete Short Stories of Edgar Allan Poe (Part 1) (USA)
  • Leading - Sir Alez Ferguson (UK)
  • The Sea Wolves - Lars Brownworth (USA)
  • The Murderer's Son - Joy Ellis (UK)
  • The Complete Short Stories of Edgar Allan Poe (Part 2) (USA)
  • Death Row Dollies - Linda Polman (Netherlands)
  • The Witch - Ronald Hutton (UK)

My pride also extends to having compiled two vital specialized glossaries as follows:

  • A Glossary of Terms for the Israeli Aggression against Gaza (English-Arabic)
  • Immigration and Asylum Glossary (English-Arabic)

I worked with local, regional, and worldwide translation and interpreting companies and agencies. Known for professional cooperation and ultimate commitment, I am always trusted by high-profile institutions to join titanic translation projects.

I am a professional member of the Egyptian Translators and Linguists' Association (ETLA), and always seeking to be a part of national and international service providers in order to gain more experience.

Professionalism, respect, and commitment have always been the characteristics of a successful translator. The feedback I get from high-profile service providers assures that I have those characteristics, which I am proud of.
