I am a native Polish translator/interpreter of English with 25 years of professional experience.I am currently a postgraduate student of history of art.
I have recently been focusing on the translation of texts in the field of history of art and museology as well as research papers in the field of the social sciences (more than 2,000 pages over the last two years), as well as articles for the Polish version of BBC's magazine Gardeners' World (since 2015), but my experience is much broader and includes the following topics:
- medicine (academic papers and a book),
- children's literature (a book Look! Polish Picturebook!),
- environmental protection (environmental impact assessments, studies on water treatment plants and landfills),
- animal welfare (many conferences and workshops; an academic syllabus Concepts in Animal Welfare - ab. 700 pages; many-year cooperation with Polish and British animal welfare organisations and Polish Chief Veterinary Inspectorate; reports on agricultural issues),
- tourism/history (4 guidebooks, a book on the history of a medieval port, promotional materials for historical towns, cooperation with a history museum, websites), and
- amber (4 books).
I work in compliance with the Guidelines for Authors and Translators of Scientific Articles to be Published in English issued by the European Association of Science Editors (EASE).
