I was Visiting Lecturer- School of Human and Health, Studies,
London Metropolitan University, According to the guidelines and course prospectus that I have been provided, I devised and presented an advanced study course in textiles, covering different aspects within the industries including Textile Fashion Business to second and third year consumer studies' students in 2004.
My academic qualifications are as follows:
Master of Business Administration

Currently after completing the taught modules, I am proceeding to the MBA project.
Doctor of philosophy (PhD) in Dept of Colour Chemistry and Polymer
Research work under the title of “ Polysulphone Membranes preparation and characterisation” based on a trouble shooting project for a major company in USA. The thesis consists of two sections; in the first part, I have prepared different casting solution and cast “in- house” polysulphone membrane film under different casting conditions . Subsequently, I have studied them under SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) in order to investigate the influence of these parameters on the formation of the porous structure in the nascent film. In the second part, several analytical techniques have been conducted on the samples from the industrial membrane production line in order to understand the nature of the problem and consequently, recommendations have been presented.
MSc Dyeing and Finishing in Dept of Textile Industries and Dept of Colour Chemistry
Main subjects: Finishing, Coloration, Development in Textile Coloration, Surface Activity, Properties of Textile Fibres and Fibre Manufacturing, and Colour Physics. Dissertation: Enhancing dyeability of nylon (conventional and micro fibre) through application of chitosan solution. In this research samples of knitted nylon (conventional and microfibre) have been treated by different solution of chitosan under different condition and subsequently dyed. The effects of treatment on dyeability and wash-fastness have been measured and recommendations have been made.
BSc Textile Technology Engineering in the Dept of Textile Industries
Main subjects: Textile Production (including spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing and finishing) and Engineering subjects (including maths and calculus, physics and mechanics, computer programming) and general studies, e.g., social studies, foreign languages. |
